Blessing Ceremony and Induction Programe

St. Thomas College, Bhilai, organized Blessing Ceremony and Induction Program for the newly admitted 1^st Semester UG students. Present on the occasion as chief Guest was Manager Bishop of the college, His Grace Alexios Mar Eusebius. The ceremony began with the college prayer, followed by Welcome address by the Principal In charge Dr. Shiny Mendonce, who warmly welcomed the gathering. In his address, Manager Bishop congratulated the students for choosing the St. Thomas College for their higher Education. His Grace emphasized that the students should not only peruse excellence in academics, but also in character and values.

Administrator of the college Rev. Dr. P. S Varghese urged the students to commit the academic journey by following the key theme of “Short time pain, and long time gain.  He also emphasized on three important aspects of life for the students – value, skill and scientific temper. Expressing words of encouragement, Dean of Academics highlighted on institutions academic achievements, modern facilities and supportive learning environment. Vice Principal of College Dr. James Matthew also graced the ceremony.

Ayan Siddique and Vidhi Vishwakarma students from 1^st semester shared their views on choosing this prestigious Institution.

Blessing Ceremony was followed by Orientation program with an aim to acquaint 1st Semester students with the curriculum of NEP -2020. Dr Sheeja Varkey (Asst Prof), Department of Commerce conducted the program. Dr. Jayashree Balasubramanian (Head Department of Zoology) proposed vote of thanks.
