Books Exhibition –cum-sale

St Thomas college , Bhilai organized Exhibition –cum-sale , on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit- Mahatsov and 125th anniversary of the Ramakrishna Mission, by the Ramakrishna Math, Pune. The programme was inaugurated by Principal Dr. M.G. Roymon . President Shri .Pawan Sharma & Vice President Shri. Narendra Banchor from Ramakrishna Mission Seva Mandal were also present for the Exhibition.
Ramkrishna Mission Seva Mandal presented a portrait of Swami Vivekanand to the Principal . Rev. Fr.Dr. P.S Varghese , Administrator of the college also graced the occasion.The event showcased a diverse collection of books in English, Hindi, and Marathi, covering a wide range of subjects, including meditation, concentration, yoga, personality development, and the inspiring and fiery lectures of Swami Vivekananda.
The exhibition featured a special section dedicated to Swami Vivekananda’s writings, including his letters and works on life and teachings. In addition, books on spirituality and scriptures such as the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and various texts related to Indian philosophy were also displayed. A dedicated section for children offered engaging storybooks, painting books, and books on the Ramayana and Mahabharata, fostering an early interest in spirituality and Indian culture among young minds.
The exhibition attracted a large number of students, faculty, and staff, who explored the wide range of topics available. The visitors were seen enthusiastically browsing through the selections; many purchase books for personal growth, inspiration, and spiritual guidance. The event was a success, as it not only provided access to a wealth of knowledge but also served as a platform to promote the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and the principles of the Ramakrishna Mission.
