Free Health Check up Camp
The NSS unit, Red Ribbon Club and PG dept. of Botany St. Thomas College Bhilai in association with Rajiv Lochan Ayurved Treatment College Chandkhuri, Durg organized One Day Free Health and Nature Test Camp for students and staff members on 17th December, 2024. Principal of the college Dr. M. G. Roymon congratulated NSS unit and the whole team of Rajiv Lochan Ayurved TReatment College for successful organization of the event. Administrator of the college Rev. Fr. Dr. P. S. Varghese said that prevention is always better than cure, so all the students and staff members should take the benefit of this camp. Treasurer of St. Thomas Mission Rt. Rev. Thomas Rambhan said that our country has given the biggest gift of Ayurvedic Treatment to the whole world. Expert physician from Ayurved College, Dr. Suraj said that this test camp is organized as per the instructions of Ayush Ministry of central government. Discussing about the impacts of AIDS, Dr. Suraj said that AIDS attacks on the general immune system of a human body, so first we have to be alert to safeguard our self from this disease and also we have to try to boost up our immune system to become healthy and fit. Along with students and staff members a total of 377 tests were conducted during the camp. On this occasion Head of Dept. of Botany Dr. Jyoti Bakshi, Asst. Professor Mr. Dev Narayan Patel, members of NSS unit Dr. Sunita Kshatriya, Dr. Rincey B. Abraham, coordinator from Ayurved College Dr. Sagar Sharma and all NSS volunteers were present. The program was conducted by NSS program officer Mahendra Ikhar and vote of thanks was proposed by NSS Co-convener Dr. J. Maju.
