TWO DAYS WORKSHOP

The Department of Education at St. Thomas College, Bhilai, successfully organized a two-day workshop on “Creating PowerPoint Presentations” on March 3 and 4, 2025. The objective of the workshop was to enhance participants’ digital skills and familiarize them with effective presentation techniques.

The programme commenced with the college prayer, followed by a warm welcome for the esteemed guests with a plant sapling. Workshop Convener Dr. Anupama Gangrade welcomed the participants and highlighted the objectives and significance of the workshop.

The Administrator of the college, Rev. Fr. Dr. P.S. Varghese, appreciated the department’s efforts in organizing this skill-oriented workshop. College Principal Dr. M.G. Roymon emphasized the importance of technological tools in education, while Dean of Academics ,Dr. Debjani Mukherjee highlighted the role of multimedia in effective teaching and learning.

The resource person, Dr. Santosh Kumar Miri, conducted interactive and informative sessions on various aspects of PowerPoint, including slide design and the use of multimedia elements to enhance presentations.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Convenor Dr. Anupama Gangrade, who expressed gratitude to the resource person. The programme was anchored by Shiny Osef. The Head of the Department of Education, Dr. Sheeja Thomas, and all faculty members of the department were present at the event.

A feedback session was conducted at the end of the workshop, where participants shared their experiences and expressed their appreciation for the interactive learning opportunity.
