World Water Day
Under the guidance of 37 CG Battalion NCC, Durg, the NCC cadets of St. Thomas College enthusiastically celebrated World Water Day. On this occasion, cadets created posters highlighting the importance of water conservation and reaffirmed their commitment to saving water. The event was graced by the presence of Father Dr. P. S. Varghese (Administrator), Dr. M. G. Roymon (Principal), Captain Dr. Surekha Jawade (NCC Officer), and Dr. Sujan R. Abraham (Head of the Management Department). College administrator Father Dr. P. S. Varghese emphasized, water is the foundation of life, and we must make every possible effort to conserve it. The younger generation must take responsibility for water conservation to prevent future water crises. principal of the college Dr. M. G. Roymon stated, World Water Day should not be limited to just one day; rather, we must develop a habit of saving water daily. Small efforts can bring about significant changes. Captain Dr. Surekha Jawade (NCC Officer) appreciated the cadets and said, NCC is always committed to fulfilling its social responsibilities. Water conservation is a serious issue, and the youth must play a crucial role in addressing it’s part of the event, organized a poster making, to raise awareness about water conservation. Many cadets took an oath to save water, spreading messages like *”Jal Hai to Kal Hai” (If there is water, there is a future). The event was attended by Dr. Susan R. Abraham (Head of the Management Department) & NCC Cadets. At the end of the program, everyone pledged to contribute to water conservation in their own capacity. This event was successfully conducted under the jointly collaboration of the NCC Unit and the Hindi Department.
