WELCOME TO ST. THOMAS COLLEGE

In the year 1984, the visionary Late Lamented His Grace Dr. Stephanos Mar Theodosius foresaw the great oak within the tiny acorn which he planted and nurtured with care & dedication. His Grace was the Founder-Manager of St. Thomas College, Bhilai whose mission was to work for the spiritual, social, educational, cultural and economic upliftment of the people. Laying the foundation of St. Thomas College (STC), Bhilai was one of the steps in that direction. Established in the year 1984, and originally affiliated to Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, the institution migrated to Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya, Durg in 2015. His Grace reckoned that education should give equal weightage to both knowledge and skills along with instilling moral values in the young minds.

St. Thomas College (STC), Bhilai , is one of the steps in this direction. Established in the year 1984 and affiliated to Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur; STC has emerged as an institution of excellence in the field of higher education. The College was awarded the FIRST Dr. B. L. Pandey Memorial Trophy for Best College in 2014 on Performance Index – 2013 of Affiliated Colleges (PIAC) among 151 affiliated private Colleges under Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur. All the courses of St. Thomas College are sanctioned by the Department of Higher Education State Government. The College migrated to Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya, Durg in 2015.The vision and mission of His Grace have acted as beacon guiding the College in the right direction. The institution has progressed by leaps and bounds and has carved for itself a niche in the education map of India. His Grace reckoned that education should give equal weightage to both knowledge and skills along with instilling moral values in the young minds.

I have seen my college becoming an institution in itself  during my time 1987-89. I owe it to my college and teachers for what I am today

St. Thomas College has set the foundation for the sense of responsibility, integrity, moral courage and character which a true officer and soldier must possess while delivering his duties to the nation.

I had spent three year of my life with St.Thomas College and I consider this as golden period of my life. During this small journey of my career I had association with some of the faculties, seniors, juniors and my classmate.

Have completed my B- Com from St.Thomas College in the year 2008. The foundation of my career! I remember the wonderful experience I had in St. Thomas College…It was a great experience and learning which helps me to achieved all the Endeavour of my life.

St. Thomas College has helped me in overall development. Both discipline and learning is taught with equal importance to the students. It has helped me greatly in my professional level. The college gives a very good environment to the students.

It was a wonderful learning and exciting experience to be a part of  the St. Thomas College. My days there have played a great role in shaping my life, personality and career and I’ll never be able to forget them

I have done my Graduation and Post Graduation from St. Thomas College, Dedicated teachers are strong pillars of this college, the innovative approach of teaching and strong basics along with good practical work pave for deep understanding of subject and Success.
