Situated in the College campus itself, St. Mary’s Girls Hostel provides boarding & lodging facilities to outstation female students. They need to apply separately for hostel accommodation at the time of admission and a limited number of students will be selected as per the availability of hostel seats and at the discretion of the Chief Warden. At present, 200 girls are residing in the hostel.
The cultural diversity in the hostel contributes to the diversity of thought & perspectives of the students and helps in building their character, empathy, and confidence. The culturally responsive approach of the wardens promotes inclusion and nurtures students to thrive in an exponentially diverse world.
The hostel is built keeping in mind the two primary objectives of safety & comfort. Its round- the-clock security, spacious & well-ventilated rooms, a reading room stocked with dailies and magazines, a beautiful garden, an indoor recreation room and a dining hall with mess make the stay of students a pleasant one. To ensure that the students don’t feel emotionally isolated being away from their family and friends, the in-house clubs organize various competitions, celebrate festivals and have get-togethers. These events not only allow them to showcase their talents but also strengthen the sense of community among them. Counselling facilities are also provided to students regarding issues related to family, studies, College life, exam pressure, home sickness etc.
Apart from the Code of Conduct prescribed for students regarding their behaviour within the College premises, the hostel residents must abide by the following rules and regulations:
Violation of the above rules will lead to expulsion from the hostel.
