Overview

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the college was inaugurated in December 2018 with the aim of inculcating entrepreneurial spirit among students. The cell works to develop an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the college by nurturing a passion for self-employment that will create new knowledge-based innovative ventures & a new breed of technopreneurs who will open more avenues of employment in the country.

Objectives

To inculcate entrepreneurial among the students
To extend necessary guidance to them in obtaining approval and execution of their projects
To make them aware of various loan schemes and Govt. MSME schemes available for financing their Startups and procedure to be followed for patent filing
To foster better linkages between the college, industries & R&D institutions in the region and other related organizations engaged in promoting Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) including NGOs and other voluntary organizations
To promote sustainable Startups with high growth potential

Short term goal

Conduct entrepreneur awareness drive and entrepreneurship certificate course for promoting the cause of entrepreneurship
Guide students about presenting ideas, documentation, marketing skills and arranging finance management support services by organizing various training programs, capacity development programs, guest lectures & workshops
Arrange interactive sessions with organizations promoting the cause of entrepreneurship
Organize activities like IDEA competitions, boot camps for Startups, panel discussions, digital marketing for new business promotions etce for the students

Long Term Goals

Provide a platform for interaction with entrepreneurs
Develop an Incubation Center in the college
Create corpus fund to seed ventures
Forge collaborations with organizations promoting development of entrepreneurship in India like Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, National Entrepreneurship Network among others
