Code of Conduct for Students
Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in the College according to the directions of the Government of India. Penalty measures against those found guilty of ragging will begin with immediate expulsion from the College followed by criminal procedures as per the law.
As per the directions of the Higher Education Department C.G., use of mobile phone and similar electronic gadgets inside the College campus is restricted. Mobile phones are to be switched off inside the class and campus. If anyone is found violating this rule, the phone will be confiscated, and strict action will be taken.
Smoking, alcohol consumption and use of any other narcotic substance is strictly forbidden inside the campus.
Library rules must be strictly followed. Students, who take books from the College library without the knowledge of the librarian, will be penalized. If books are lost or tampered with, they will have to pay thrice the amount of the book’s price. Sub-lending of books is strictly forbidden.
Students must follow the dress code as prescribed by the College and those who intentionally violate this rule will not be permitted to attend the classes.
They must always possess their identity cards (duly attested) with them and shall present it for inspection whenever demanded. In case its lost or misplaced, new identity card will be issued after payment of Rs.150/-
They are not allowed to change the sections allotted to them.
They must be punctual in attending the classes and submitting the assignments. In case they come late to the classes, they can enter the class only with the permission of the teacher.
They must not leave the class before it is dispersed by the teacher. Late comers will not get attendance for the period.
They must silently move from one class to another so as not to disturb other classes. If they are allotted a free period, they must not loiter in the corridors.
Their behaviour within the College campus should be decent. Any student who is persistently insubordinate to teachers or staff, habitually irregular in attendance or inattentive in the classes, uses offensive language, indulges in actions which may lead to communal ill feelings or enmity will be liable for suspension, even expulsion from the College as per the decision of the principal.
If they are absent from the class for more than three consecutive days, they must submit a leave application at the principal’s office and give its copy to the concerned head of the department. In case of illness, a medical certificate must be enclosed along with the leave letter.
They must obtain permission from the principal or the shift in-charge in case they need to leave the College campus before their classes end for that day.
They must not represent the College at the university or any other place for any matter whatsoever, without the permission of the principal.
They are prohibited from organizing or attending meetings in the College, distributing pamphlets/ flyers, or collecting money for any purpose without the permission of the principal.
Those involved in any sort of campaigning/protest or disturbing any class work will be liable for severe punishment.
They must not convey any information about matters related to College administration to the press.
They must preserve the sanctity of the building, furniture, library books and the premises. If they behave irresponsibly while handling books, equipment, or other College property, they will have to reimburse the institution for all the damages.
They must appear for all the Unit Tests, Half Yearly Examination and Model Examination conducted by College. In case they are absent during the internal exams, retests will be conducted especially for those who missed it owing to their participation in the sports and other competitions at university, state, and national levels.
They must strictly follow the canteen hours.
They must park their vehicles only in the specified places within the campus and not use them beyond the parking areas.
They are not permitted to meet the faculty members while they are engaging classes or on invigilation duty.
They are expected to see the College Notice Board every day.
They must not bring any friends/relatives to the College during regular classes and functions without prior permission of the principal.
