Webinar on “Incubation and Start-ups in Higher Education” Conducted at St.Thomas College Bhilai.The PG. Department of Commerce under the aegis of departmental Association Commzenith , ED Cell and Institutional Innovation Council Association, in collaboration with our MoU Patners Rungta College of Engineering and Technology, Bhilai and Smt. Radhadevi Goenka College for Women Akola Maharashtra organized webinar on the topic “ Incubation and Start ups in Higher Education” On 27th May 2022. Dr. Manoj Varghese, Dean IIC, RCET Bhilai and Mr. Varun Agrawal, Owner of Varun Insustries Akola Maharashtra were the resource persons on the Occasion. Dr.Manoj Varghese stressed on How to build a successful Startup.He emphasized on the potential key factors that help to set a start-up avoiding which an individual might not successfully execute the business idea. On the other hand Mr. Varun Agrawal, the second resource person, dealt with the practical need and importance of Incubators and Accelerators in incubating the business idea and then expanding its potential into a medium or large scale enterprise. He shared his personal experiences with the participants. Principal of St. Thomas College Bhilai Dr. M.G.Roymon said that entrepreneurship and startups is the need of the hour and is required for economic development. The participants from both the colleges included the faculties and the students.127 participants registered and attended the program .Dr. Rupa Gupta Asst.Prof. department of Commerce,Smt. Radhadevi Goenka College for women Akola welcomed the Participants. Dr. Shubha Diwan Asst. Prof. Biotechnology Department and Convenor of ED Cell Proposed the Vote of thanks. Dr. Prateek Sharma Asst. Prof. department of commerce,St.Thomas College Bhilai conducted the program. Dr. Sapna Sharma Head Department of Commerce, St. Thomas College Bhilai and Dr. Ambadas B. Pandey Head Department of Commerce, Smt. Radhadevi Goenka College for Women Akola Maharashtra congratulated the departments of both the colleges for the conduct of this program.The students opined that the session was fruitful for them and would like to attend such type of sessions in future.
